Ambicon – Technical Description

The basic system topology for one location with local recording units consists of following elements:

  • Ambicon ASCS Audio Control Units each 12in/12 out
  • Microphones (the exact type is chosen according to the placement)
  • RCMS (Remote Control and Monitoring System) that is a system combined of Ambisoft system for the setting of audio parametres and Ambinet surveilance system

The extended system topology for one location with remote recording units consists of following elements:

  • Ambicon ASCS Audio Control Units each 12in/ 12 out
  • Ambicon ASCS VoIP transceiver(s)
  • Microphones (the exact type is chosen according to the placement)
  • RCMS (Remote Control and Monitoring System) that is a system combined of Ambisoft system for the setting of audio parametres and Ambinet surveilance system

Ambicon ASCS Audio Control Unit details

The ASCS Audio Control Unit consists of digital matrix audio mixer with DSP audio processing and special module for microphone testing providing a full audio loop test including the connected microphones.

Characteriscs of the ASCS Digital Audio Mixer Matrix:

  • Noise Cancellation – Adaptive modeling to room ambient noise condition
  • Increased resolution on Microphone Preamp stage: 0-56 dB in 7 dB increments
  • Maximum of 4 millisecond processing delay
  • Integrated Ethernet and USB connections
  • SNMP and HTML remote management agents
  • Event scheduler
  • Diagnostic console
  • Simplified Configuration Software
  • Drag & drop A/V and channel objects
  • Selectable views – unit, matrix, channel
  • Expanded Serial Command List
  • Superior Audio Performance
  • First-mic priority delivers clear audio to the output
  • 20 Hz-22 kHz bandwidth for full-range audio response
  • ALC & AGCt
  • Configuration Flexibility
  • Ten mic gating groups (four internal & six global) allow separation of mics into individual mixer gating groups for greater configuration flexibility
  • 32 presets can be executed on-the-fly without disturbing other ongoing preset operations
  • 255 Macros for customized audio control/configuration with single command execution
